It’s the balance of tastes and textures and ingredients that we’ll be exploring during the February 10th A Taste of India Cooking Class. Spices—the heart of Indian cuisine

India produces, consumes and exports more spices than any other country in the world. Yet many people mistakenly think of Indian food as all spice and fire. However, chili is only one of the many spices used. Indian cuisine  features cumin, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, turmeric—aromatic spices, robust spices and peppery spices.

Plus, you’ll learn techniques for blooming/tempering spices to deepen and intensify their flavor.

    It’s cold and snowy – just thinking about your kitchen and the fabulous warming smells that will be wafting through the rooms and the tastes to be savored causes a bit of envy; so want to be there.
