I look forward to sharing with you my enthusiasm about all things food, my philosophy about diet as our way of life, and my creativity in the kitchen with mostly vegetarian recipes. Below are my personal beliefs and the guidelines underlying my recipes for living everyday healthy–everyday delicious. Perhaps they are yours as well. . .

  • Real food—whole, clean, uncomplicated, healthful, delicious, colorful, seasonal, local
  • Diaita—diet as our way of life—including all aspects of our lives, i.e., our relationships, spirituality, career, physical activity as well as the food we eat
  • Garden—grow (or know someone who does) an abundance of flowers, shrubs, vegetables, fruits, herbs in healthy soil
  • Cooking is fun—the more we cook the healthier our diet, the healthier we are
  • Use recipes as guides and inspiration–adjust and alter them and make them our own
  • Express Appreciation and Gratitude–for each day, each moment, each meal, each ingredient, our families, our friends, and each opportunity that comes our way
  • Slow down–share meals, laughter and conversation–eat outside as often as possible
  • Walk, hike, stretch, dance, play, skip, snow shoe, etc.–and do so outside, as often as possible
  • Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.  (Thank you, Michael Pollan.)

  1. I made the ridiculously yummy Farro Vegetable Stew…. so creamy and chewy is the farro – eating a bowl for dinner is the perfect comfort meal. I could eat it every night. A make again recipe. Thank you Beth and Janice.

    I finally sat down and found your website! I look forward to trying many of your recipes as I am trying to eat mostly vegetarian and as healthy as possible. Thanks for doing this – I’ll hope to see you at yoga tomorrow.
